Trip Insurance:  Be sure to review our Trip Insurance page before signing up for a trip, and consider whether to purchase cancellation insurance.  Note that the cancel for any reason options require that you pay the premium within 14 days of paying your initial deposit on a trip.

Epic & Ikon Passes:  Most of our trips are to resorts that honor one of the multi-resort season passes.  You may purchase passes directly from the suppliers, but our tour operators have promotions offering rebates on the trips you might take with the club.  You may wish to consider purchasing your passes through them.  The exception is Military passes, which must be purchased from the suppliers.  Go to our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the various offers.  You should consider purchasing passes early-on as the cost typically increases at the start of the summer, and then again around Labor Day.  Pass sales are likely to end sometime in the fall.

Signup/Registration Tips:  Please take a moment to read the Trip Signup/Registration Tips.  Each individual must be logged-in with their PSC credentials (email address & password) in order to register (sign up) for a trip.  Before signing up, please take a moment to review your profile including your emergency contact information and (if you're thinking of a trip to Canada or Europe) your passport information.  Make sure your first and middle names exactly match your passport (or whatever ID you'll fly with) so your ticket gets issued correctly.  Then click on the trip's Register button if you're ready to sign up!  Your personal information will be pulled from your profile, and then you will need to select options specific to each trip, for example, what type of lodging you prefer (double occupancy or a single room at extra cost) and what type of lift ticket you want.

Important If you are registering someone other than yourself, you must log out of your own account and then log in with their credentials.  If you skip this step and register them while signed into your own account, their profile information won't convey into their signup record.  This is necessary even with family (bundle) memberships where you are the bundle administrator.

Wait-Listed Trips:  Click on the button to Join wait list and we may be able to confirm you on the trip if we have a cancellation, after confirming that you still want to go.  We're also sometimes able to expand a trip to accommodate additional skiers.

Blue Ridge Ski Council:  Beginning July 1, 2021, registration for our 2022 ski trips opened to members of other ski clubs that are members of the Blue Ridge Ski Council through the "sanctioning" process.  Hint:  To register for a trip you must first "join" the PSC as a no-cost BRSC member and populate your membership profile.

Trip Invoice & Initial Deposit:  An invoice will be generated for each trip you've registered for.  Each trip includes a payment table listing an initial deposit, one or more interim payments, and a final payment date.  You must pay the initial deposit, and any subsequent interim payments that have or are about to come due, to secure your place on the trip.  Your registration is not confirmed until we receive and acknowledge your deposit.  Payments can be made online with a credit card, or by check.  We can also accept credit card payments at club meetings.

    Jan 14-22, 2022

Listed price includes round-trip air; lift tickets not included in package.
Optional 4-night post-skiing extension in London ($1,135) returns January 26.

Skiing and snowboarding 365 days a year – something this unique destination, straddling the border between Switzerland and Italy, pulls off with international flair.  Come to Zermatt and enjoy Swiss hospitality coupled with Italian lifestyle.  Enjoy the runs on endless pistes with a spectacular backdrop of mountains. At almost 4,000 meters altitude, Matterhorn Ski Paradise is the highest winter sports area in the Alps. Apart from guaranteed snow conditions, the region is one of the best-developed and extensive ski resorts anywhere in the world.

Our trip includes 7 nights (Sat-Sat) in the boutique 4-star Hotel Albana Real with full daily breakfast buffet and daily Swiss/European-based dinners including soup, salads, pasta, meat and fish.  RT air from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Geneva (details below).  Welcome drink upon arrival.  Lift tickets not included. Emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation insurance (not cancellation insurance) is included (details below).

Hotel Albana Real welcomes us in an atmosphere that is both refined and relaxed.  The luxurious hotel, equipped with a touch of Art Deco, invites us to rest and relax.  Handcrafted wood carvings decorate the rooms and suites, decorated in soft colors and modern but quite rustic style.  The hotel is a 2-minute walk to the ski shuttle, or about a 10-minute walk to the lifts.  Free WiFi is included.

Entry into the hotel's wellness spa is included:  Indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi & gym.

Listed cost is for double occupancy.  A limited number of rooms may be available for single occupancy; request when registering and the trip leader will confirm availability and cost, and make an adjustment to your invoice if you can be confirmed.

Lift Tickets:  Lift tickets are not included in the package.  We plan to do a discounted group purchase of the 6-day International Ski Passes, which allow skiing at neighboring Cervinia, Italy, where many of us expect to venture a time or two (a great lunch stop!)We think the cost will be about $430.

    • If you request the ticket when you sign up (register) for the trip, we'll add the cost to your trip invoice once the price is confirmed, sometime in the fall (before final payments are due).
    • Or, you could wait and buy your lift pass at the resort.

Ikon Pass:  The full Ikon Pass is good for 7 days of skiing at Zermatt, and the Ikon Base Pass for 5 days, but neither pass allows you to ski over to Cervinia.  You can upgrade your pass on a daily basis to include Cervinia for 42 CHF/day (about $46) at a ticket window (2021 price; may change).

Trip Insurance:  Emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation insurance (not cancellation insurance) is included.  Note that this is not cancellation coverage and will not provide any relief if you have to cancel from the trip before it begins, whether for medical or other reasons.  You may upgrade your coverage to include cancellation coverage by clicking on the link.  It will take you to a flyer describing the options available, including a link to the detailed coverage plan.  Note that the "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) option must be purchased within 14 days of paying your initial deposit on the trip.
