This spring the PSC will be going to India and Dubai, two of the most different countries you will ever see. One is a country with a history going back many thousands of years, a country of religions, architecture, great beauty, art and people of every type: a country with a great past and a hopeful future. The other is a new country, rich, with modern architecture, few people, and is monotheistic. It may be the most modern country (city) in the world.

We depart from Dulles Airport on April 6th and arrive in Dubai on the 7th. We will spend three nights there, seeing all the splendor money can buy. Maybe you will want to have a drink near the top of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa (over 2700 feet high), perhaps visit the Burj Al Arab, a hotel that looks like a sail, or see the man-made Palm Islands. Go skiing - yes, in the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest malls in the world - probably you have seen it on Facebook. We will be on our own, no guides, no meals except breakfasts , we will have to rough it. 

On April 10 we will depart Dubai for New Delhi, the capital of India. This is where our guided tour, the Heart of India begins. We will visit Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Geejgarh Village, Agra and the Taj Mahal, Khajuraho and Varanasi. What's included? All accomodations, a trip guide and local guides, land transportation, international airfare, 3 internal flights, and 33 meals - daily breakfasts, 9 lunches and 10 dinners. Sign Up and Trip Size:

This is a small trip, basically boutique in size: 16 people with a possibility of a small increase. Thus, if you want to be on the trip, act quickly. Call OAT at 800-955-1925, mention you want to go on the Heart of India/Dubai trip on April 6, 2019, and mention this code: G9-27957. You will need to put a deposit of $350 down on a credit card. OAT handles all payments on this trip and you can pay for the trip in full (by check only) and save some money. Thus, your trip coordinators are not getting any checks or money from you. After you have signed up with OAT, then you should REGISTER for the trip on the PSC website.

Membership Requirement:  Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  Since the trip is essentially sold out as of July 2018, there are no plans to "sanction" the trip through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.

Insurance:

The insurance OAT offers is a cancel-for-any-reason policy. It is a bit costly. As an alternative, we are offering three levels of insurance (including medical only for $21) from Myra Altschuler at Travel Protectors. Her details are on the flyer below and you have to contact her directly - do not send the money to us. We have used her before with success. You can also opt for your own insurance.
