Non-Skiing Trips

The non-skiing vacation trips listed below (scroll down to UPCOMING EVENTS) are available for registration/signups as indicated.

2025 Ski Trips

Our 2025 trips are now available for signups!  Here's a brief list; scroll down to see the complete trip details and prices:

A Note on Air:

It's been a particular challenge to secure flights for several of our trips, especially those into some of the smaller markets.  Group air typically becomes available to our tour operators about eleven months from departure, but affordable group flights remain elusive for several of our trips, and may not be available for several more months.  In the meantime, the "with air" prices we've published for those trips include what we believe to be a conservative estimate for the airfare.  Once we've confirmed the itinerary and cost, we'll adjust the invoices for those already signed up "with air."

Epic & Ikon Passes:

All of our trips will be going to resorts that honor one of the multi-resort season passes.  You may purchase passes directly from the suppliers, but several of our our tour operators have promotions offering discounts or rebates in conjunction the trips you might take with the club.  Go to our Epic & Ikon Pass page to see the offers.  You may wish to consider purchasing your passes through them.  The exceptions are Military Epic passes and military discounts on Ikon passes, which are only available from the suppliers (but note that special pricing is available on Ikon Passes through the Military Sales Program).

You should consider purchasing passes early-on as the costs typically increase before the Memorial Day holiday and periodically as winter gets closer.   Season pass sales typically end in early-to-mid December.

Blue Ridge Ski Council:  Registration for our 2025 ski trips will be opened beginning August 1, 2024 to members of other ski clubs that are members of the Blue Ridge Ski Council through the "sanctioning" process.  Hint:  To register for a trip you must first "join" the PSC as a no-cost BRSC member and populate your membership profile.

Tips for All Trips

Trip Insurance:  Be sure to review our Trip Insurance page before signing up for a trip, and consider whether to purchase cancellation insurance.  Note that the cancel for any reason option requires that you pay the premium within 14 days of paying your initial deposit on a trip.  The 14-day purchase deadline also applies in order to waive the pre-existing medical condition exclusion.

Signup/Registration Tips:  Please take a moment to read the Trip Signup/Registration Tips.  Each individual must be logged-in with their PSC credentials (email address & password) in order to register (sign up) for a trip.  Before signing up, please take a moment to review your profile including your emergency contact information and (if you're thinking of a trip to Canada or Europe) your passport information.  Make sure your first and middle names exactly match your passport (or whatever ID you'll fly with) so your ticket gets issued correctly.  Then click on the trip's Register button if you're ready to sign up!  Your personal information will be pulled from your profile, and then you will need to select options specific to each trip, for example, what type of lodging you prefer (double occupancy or a single room at extra cost) and what type of lift ticket you want.

Important If you are registering someone other than yourself, you must log out of your own account and then log in with their credentials.  If you skip this step and register them while signed into your own account, their profile information won't convey into their signup record.  This is necessary even with family (bundle) memberships where you are the bundle administrator.

Wait-Listed Trips:  Click on the button to Join wait list and we may be able to confirm you on the trip if we have a cancellation, after confirming that you still want to go.  We're also sometimes able to expand a trip to accommodate additional skiers.

Trip Invoice & Initial Deposit:  An invoice will be generated for each trip you've registered for.  Each trip includes a payment table listing an initial deposit, one or more interim payments, and a final payment date.  You must pay the initial deposit, and any subsequent interim payments that have or are about to come due, to secure your place on the trip.  Your registration is not confirmed until we receive and acknowledge your deposit.  Payments can be made online with a credit card, or by check.  We can also accept credit card payments at club meetings.

    Tuesday, December 10th
    7:00 pm

    Register To Attend

by Monday, December 2nd, if you want to be sponsored
for a long-term visitor pass (see below)

Our next monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, December 10th, 7:00 pm at Ft. Myer's Patton Hall (same location as always).  The evening will focus on trips.

Our complimentary menu will be confirmed in the announcement that we'll send a couple weeks before the meeting.  A cash bar will be available for the drinks of your choice.

    Registration Required

We're asking everyone to register to attend.  This will allow us to adjust the catering, and to offer you an opportunity to apply for a long-term (1-year) Ft. Myer Visitor Pass (see below). You must register by Monday, December 2nd, to be sponsored for a long-term pass.

If you need to apply for or renew a pass, but can't actually come to the meeting, there's an option for that:  Register for the meeting and select the option that you need a pass but won't be at the meeting.

    Bringing a Guest?

If you plan to come to the meeting with someone else, there are two ways to let us know:

    • If your companion is a club member in their own right, they can log in with their credentials and register for the meeting much as they would do if signing up for a trip.
    • Whether your companion is a club member or not, you can simply include them in your own meeting registration by clicking on the Add guest button before submitting your registration.

    If Your Plans Change

If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please let us know (ideally by Monday, December 2nd) so we can adjust our catering order.  You may do this by:

    • Calling (301-579-2749) or emailing Dave Olsen
    • Cancelling your registration yourself:
      • log into your account
      • click on your name at the top
      • click on My Event Registrations
      • click on your meeting registration
      • click on the Already registered link
      • click on the Cancel registration button
    Ft. Myer Entry Passes

You may recall that we offered an opportunity, when signing up for last-summer's picnic (and for several previous monthly meetings), to be sponsored for obtaining a long-term (1-year) Ft. Myer visitor pass.  We're able to offer that opportunity on a quarterly basis, so here's another chance!   Register for the meeting by Monday, December 2nd, indicate your desire for a pass, and we'll include you on the list that we'll send to Ft. Myer to request their sponsorship.  Read below for the details on how the process will work.

We anticipate the next opportunity for long-term pass sponsorship to be in conjunction with our planned March 11th meeting.  (Note:  We don't have a meeting in February.)  If you have a pass that hasn't yet expired but will expire before our January 14th meeting, go ahead and request sponsorship now, then go to the VCC once your pass has or is about to expire and they should have your name from the December meeting list.

    Entry to Ft. Myer

Please take a moment to review our Entry to Ft. Myer page.  There are several ways you'll be allowed to enter:

    • Passengers:  Firstly, be aware that drivers won't necessarily be allowed to vouch for their passengers.  Although a photo ID like a driver's license might sometimes be accepted, passengers without an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) Pass (see below) or one of the other types of ID mentioned below might need to complete a Installation Access Request Form and pass the vetting process to enter the base.
    • With Suitable ID:  If you have an active duty or retired military ID, or a DoD-issued Common Access Card (CAC) (and possibly several other types of government-issued ID), you should be able to enter the base without screening.
    • Without a Pass:  If you arrive for a club meeting outside of Visitor Control Center (VCC) hours (see below) and without suitable ID, your vehicle will be searched and you'll need to be vetted through their security system before being allowed entry.  This may take some time, so we suggest that you arrive at the base early.
    • One-Day Pass:  You can apply for a one-day pass online at this website (click on the link).  You can then show the pass on your phone to gain entry.  However, application must be submitted at least four days in advance of your visit.  The process time may depend on your footprint in various online systems, and you may need to go to the VCC to have your photo taken. That said, your application might be approved almost instantaneously if you've previously been approved for an AIE Pass.
    • 60-Day Pass:  You may apply for a 60-day pass at the Visitor Control Center, located just inside the main gate.  The VCC is open 6am-5pm Mon-Fri and 10am-3pm Saturdays.  You should be able to obtain a 60-day Automated Installation Entry (AIE) Pass right on the spot.
You will need to complete an access application and be vetted through their security system.  To help speed the process, we suggest that you complete the Fort Myer Installation Access Request Form ahead of your visit and bring it with you.
    • Long-Term/Annual Pass:  With sponsorship by Patton Hall, you may be able to get an AIE Pass good for as long as a year.  Here's how it should work:
      • Register for the meeting by Monday, December 2nd, and indicate your desire to obtain a long-term pass.
      • We'll then ask our contact at Patton Hall to sponsor you for a pass.
      • We'll send you an email (on September 10th or soon after) confirming that your name has been forwarded, and that you can go to the VCC to apply for your pass.
      • Go to Ft. Myer during normal VCC hours (6am-5pm Mon-Fri and 10am-3pm Saturdays) sometime before the meeting.
      • We suggest you go to the VCC well before the meeting to avoid slamming them that afternoon.
      • When you arrive at the VCC, tell them that you're part of the Pentagon Ski Club group that is being sponsored by Mr. Syed, the Business Manager at Patton Hall.  They'll have pre-printed Installation Access Request Forms with Mr. Syed's sponsorship.  All you'll need to do is present your driver's license and complete the form with your DOB and SSN.
      • If the process works as before, and assuming you pass their vetting process, you should be able to get a year-long pass during your visit to the VCC.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, a "full" Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

    • A Full Ikon Pass gives you 7 days at Jackson Hole.
    • An Ikon Base Pass has no benefits at Jackson Hole.
    • An Ikon Base Plus Pass gives you 5 days at Jackson Hole, but is blacked-out December 26-31.  A Base-Plus Pass would only cover you for three days of skiing, Wed-Fri, Jan 1-3.

Ikon Passes must be individually purchased (not through the club).  You may purchase Ikon Passes directly from Ikon (including discounted pricing available to military members and their dependents), but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the promotional offers that may be available from our tour operators.

If you'll be using an Ikon Pass, we must provide your pass number to the resort so that it counts towards our group lift ticket minimum purchase requirements.  Please enter your Ikon Pass number into your membership profile before registering for the trip, or provide it to the trip leader if you purchase (or renew) your pass subsequent to signing up.

Ikon Lift Reservations:  Skiers using an Ikon Pass will be required to make reservations for their ski days by logging into their Ikon Pass account at ikonpass.com.  You should make your reservations as soon as you sign up for the trip as daily space is limited and could sell out.

Group Lift Tickets:  Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass:

With 5,300+ acres, Vail is the largest ski resort in Colorado and 2nd only to Big Sky as the largest single-mountain resort in North America.  With its iconic peaks and legendary back bowls, Vail is not just a mountain... it’s like nothing on Earth!  Carve your own path through the resort’s wide-open groomers and endless legendary terrain.  See why Forbes magazine named Vail as one of the best ski resorts in Colorado:

As Colorado’s largest mountain resort, Vail is a bucket list ski experience for a reason. Over 5,300 acres of ski and snowboard terrain, including some world-renowned back bowls, makes this a popular destination for ski lovers of all kinds (the terrain is seemingly endless). But Vail also has more to offer beyond just a stellar experience on the slopes. The picturesque locale has all the charm of a European ski town, with cobblestone streets, a Bavarian-themed village with plenty of glittering trees and luxury restaurants at every turn.

    Evergreen Lodge

Our trip package includes seven nights (Sat-Sat) in the Evergreen Lodge (sleep at about 8,150 ft) with RT Non-stop air from Washington to Denver (details below) and ground transfers.

Located conveniently between Vail Village and Lionshead, the Evergreen's prime, walk-everywhere location, directly on the complimentary town shuttle, offers convenient access to world-class shopping, dining, and the lifts at Lionshead, Vail Village, and Golden Peak.

The Evergreen's warm and friendly service includes complimentary coffee, tea, pastries, juice and yogurt offered in the lobby from 7-10am daily.

We can relax in total comfort in our spacious lodge rooms which feature one King or two Queen plush, pillow-top beds, enhanced by premium sheets, pillows and comforters.  Room amenities include mini-refrigerators, coffee makers, and LCD Flat Panel TVs.  The bathrooms are outfitted with complimentary Terra Green toiletries and have a dual vanity featuring granite countertops.

Single Rooms:  Listed price is per-person for double occupancy.  Add $1,465 for the Single Supplement if you want a room to yourself.

    Altitude Bar & Grill

Hotel amenities include the Altitude Bar and Grill.  Voted Vail’s #1 sports bar, it offers a varied seasonal menu that is sure to please carnivores and vegetarians alike. With 19 LCD TVs and 100+’’ projection TV, the recently renovated venue is the best place in Vail to watch any game.

Lift Tickets:  Lift tickets are not included in the trip package, as Vail Resorts is no longer offering competitively priced group lift tickets.  Epic Passes, which must be individually purchased (not through the club), provide the best value.

Epic Passes:  Participants are encouraged to purchase an Epic Pass product of some type early-on.  The following options would cover your skiing for the trip; prices shown are as of March 2024 when 2024-25 pass sales began, but will increase in the ensuing months, and will be unavailable after early December:

    • A "full" Epic Pass ($982)
    • Military Epic Pass – Active/Retired ($172); Veteran ($561)

Conveniently located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, the Huntley was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for the resort.  The amenities at this slope-side, three-story classic ski lodge include a pool and hot tub, fitness center, Chet's Restaurant, Mountain Mocha coffee shop, and the Huntley Dining Room.  It is as tasteful as it is convenient:  The Explorer Lift is just out the back door, and the two main lifts — the Swift Current going up Lone Peak and the Ramcharger serving Andesite Mountain are just a short walk away.

The Huntley Lodge features Boyne Beds and flat panel televisions.  The listed price includes double occupancy in a room with two Queen bedsAmenities in our spacious rooms include Keurig coffee makers and mini refrigerators. Baggage handling is included.

Single Rooms:  Listed price is for double occupancy.  Add $1,615 for the single supplement if you want a room to yourself.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

    • A Full Ikon Pass gives you 7 days at Big Sky.
    • An Ikon Base Pass or Base Plus Pass give you 5 days at Big Sky.

Group Lift Tickets:  Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass.  Here are the 2025 costs (confirmed 7/15/2024):

     Lift Ticket Options

     6-Day
    1-Day

     Senior (70+)
     $755  $905 $170

Holders of an Ikon Base or Base Plus Pass may wish to purchase the 1-day ticket so they can ski every day, as those passes allow only 5 days of skiing at Big Sky.

    Lone Peak Tram

Unlimited daily access to the Lone Peak Tram is included with the group lift tickets.  Tram access is not included with Ikon Passes or Mountain Collective Passes, but may be purchased at the resort as an upgrade.

Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Crans Montana is situated just above the Rhône Valley in the south-facing, French-speaking canton of Valais.  The resort is known for sunny days and vistas of the Imperial Crown, a chain of five mountain peaks, all 13,000 feet above sea level.  Here are some of the resort's pro's as portrayed by PowderHounds:

    • High elevation ski area in one of the snowiest parts of Switzerland.
    • Long skiable vertical across expansive piste, ski routes & freeride terrain.
    • Minimal lift lines.
    • Excellent diversity of piste trails for all levels (but less for beginners).
    • Superb variety of off-piste terrain including tree skiing.

Here's a perspective on the skiing from Ski Magazine's 2023 review of the resort:

Experts may be disappointed by the terrain, which is 75 percent red (intermediate) and only 9 percent black. But the stop-in-your-tracks scenery and lunches at quintessential mountain huts make up for the lack of steeps.  Ninety miles of pistes vary from wide-open groomers at tree level to slopes at the Plaine Morte Glacier (9,020 ft), which lead to Piste Nationale, the most challenging run, which doubles as a men’s World Cup downhill course. For those looking to get off-piste, there are 10 ungroomed ski routes marked on the map, plus areas such as Faverges that require a guide.

    Hotel Faern

Our trip includes daily buffet breakfast and dinner and seven night's lodging at Hotel Faern, which offers a unique fusion of contemporary sophistication and traditional Alpine charm.  Designed to provide elegance and comfort, Faern offers a serene retreat for guests seeking an authentic mountain getaway.  Its privileged location, close to the ski lifts and the town center, makes it ideal for our ski vacation.

    Faern Double Room

The Faern's thoughtfully designed, super-comfy rooms are equipped with a range of amenities such as a bathrobe, slippers, flat-screen TV, coffee machine and a wardrobe or closet.  Adapters are available at the reception, and USB chargers are conveniently located by the beds.  The  well-appointed bathrooms feature Terrazzo-style floors and are fully equipped with plush towels, a rain shower, and a hairdryer.

    Faern Twin Room

Single Rooms:  Listed cost is for double occupancy.  A limited number of rooms may be available for single occupancy; request when registering and the trip leader will make an adjustment to your invoice if you can be confirmed.

Lift Tickets:  Lift tickets are not included in the trip package.

    • Epic Day Pass (the non-holiday-rate for an "all resort" pass)
      – ($492 for 5 days; $573 for 6 days)
    • Epic Local Pass ($731) - 5 days

You may purchase Epic Passes directly from Vail Resorts, but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the various options available, including promotional offers from our tour operators.  They offer all except the military passes, which must be purchased directly from Vail Resorts.

Resort Lift Tickets:  Skiers without an Epic Pass will need to buy their lift tickets at the resort.  Here are last-winter's prices; same cost for adults and seniors:

    • 423 CHF (about $465) for a 5-day pass (consecutive days)
    • 497 CHF (about $550) for a 6-day pass
    Budapest Option - $870

    4-night pre-skiing extension

Departs from the U.S. Monday, January 13

When the towns of Pest, Buda and Old Buda merged, the world gained a true pearl of the Danube - Budapest.  Wide streets reminiscent of the boulevards of Western metropolises will evoke feelings of admiration and respect.  And at the same time you’ll be sure to notice the tempting aromas of well-known Hungarian dishes from the surrounding restaurants.  Discover the new beauty of Budapest every day.  The wide Danube winds through the city as it passes under several bridges, including the most famous Széchenyi Lánchíd.  And don’t forget the famous spa. Strong geothermal springs will carry you to a realm of silence, peace and relaxation.

The extension includes four nights at the Mamaison Hotel Andrássy with daily breakfast buffet.  The hotel is located conveniently near the city center, on the well-known Andrássy avenue.

Our extension package includes two half-day guided tours of the city:  one on the Buda side with the Castle district, and the other on the Pest side with the Synagoge and Parliament.  We'll also have a one-hour boat trip, including a glass of sparkling wine.  On our own, we can visit the surroundings of the city, perhaps visiting Castle Gödöllö and go to Lázár puszta, or visit Esztergom basilica and castle and go to Szentendre for lunch or free time.

Single Rooms:  Listed cost is for double occupancy.  A limited number of rooms may be available for single occupancy.  Request when registering and the trip leader will make an adjustment to your invoice if you can be confirmed.

Travel Logistics:  The flight itinerary for those on the Budapest extension appears below.  To summarize:

    • Monday (January 13) we depart from IAD and fly nonstop on Lufthansa into Zurich. Skis shipped with checked boot bag are free on this flight only.  If only taking boots they must go as your carry on.  Skis are not free on the main groups United flight or on the return flight for the extension.  Shipped skis cost $230 on the return flight on Lufthansa, averaging $115 each way.
    • Tuesday afternoon (January 14), after our overnight flight and connection through Zurich, we'll arrive in Budapest and be bussed to our hotel.
    • Saturday morning (January 18) we'll be bussed back to the Budapest airport for our short flight on Swissair to Zurich.
    • We'll then be bussed to Crans Montana where we'll join the Ski-Only group who will have arrived from their overnight flight into Geneva.
    • At the end of the ski-week we'll be bussed back to Zurich for our flight back to Washington Dulles via Frankfurt on Lufthansa.

    • If you upgrade your coverage with either option through Myra, prior to making your final payment on the trip, we will credit your trip invoice with the $60 cost of the club-provided Basic Plan.
    • If you purchase your own travel insurance, which includes emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation coverage, and inform your trip leader prior to making your final payment on the trip, we will credit your trip invoice with the $60 cost of the club-provided Basic Plan.  You must present your policy to the trip leader to receive the credit.

See why Forbes magazine named Breckenridge as one of the best ski resorts in Colorado:

Breckenridge is a great family resort just 104 miles from Denver. Thanks to its abundance of green trails and plenty of areas for lessons, it has become a popular place for adult beginners and little ones alike. But that doesn’t exclude those more advanced skiers—187 total trails mean there is something here for every level. One of the coolest and most unique elements of the town of Breck is its direct access to the mountain from Main Street. Ski right from the top of North America’s highest chairlift at the close of the day directly to your favorite après watering hole—nearly the entire town is ski-in, ski-out. Speaking of the town, its historic mining town charm is one-of-a-kind. Here, you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants, sans the stuffy feel of some of the other more expensive ski towns in Colorado.

Our trip package includes seven nights (Sat-Sat) in the Marriott Residence Inn (sleep at about 9,600 ft) with daily buffet breakfast, RT air from Washington to Denver (details below), and ground transfers.

Located in Breckenridge's Historic District, this all-suite hotel features kitchens and sofa sleepers in all suites.  Hotel amenities include a free full breakfast, free high speed WIFI, free local ski area shuttle, a fitness center, an outdoor pool & hot tub open year-round, barbeque grills, and a 24-hour front desk.

The hotel's Base Camp Lodge cocktail bar offers light dining and a  lounge area for socializing or watching the latest news on its flat-screen TVs.

The room descriptions are available on the hotel website.  Our lodging block includes:

    • Studio Suites with two Queen beds, a sofa bed, and a full kitchen.
    • One-Bedroom Suites with a King bed, a sofa bed, a separate living room, and a full kitchen

Single Rooms:  Listed price is for double occupancy.  Add $1,545 for the Single Supplement if you want a room to yourself.

2BR Suites:  Two-bedroom suites with either a K/K or or K/QQ configuration may be available.  If interested, contact trip leader to confirm availability and cost.

The following options would cover your skiing for the trip; prices shown are as of March 2024 when 2024-25 pass sales began, but will increase in the ensuing months, and be unavailable after early December:

You may purchase Epic Passes directly from Vail Resorts, but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the various options available, including promotional offers from our tour operators.  They offer all except the military passes, which must be purchased directly from Vail Resorts.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

    • A Full Ikon Pass gives you 7 days at Sun Valley.
    • An Ikon Base Pass has no benefits at Sun Valley.
    • An Ikon Base Plus Pass gives you 5 days at Sun Valley.

Ikon Passes must be individually purchased (not through the club).  You may purchase Ikon Passes directly from Ikon (including discounted pricing available to military members and their dependents), but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the promotional offers that is available from our tour operator.

Group Lift Tickets:  Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass:

Nestled beneath the highest mountains in the Alps, yet just one hour from Geneva, Chamonix Mont-Blanc offers the perfect ski holiday with its 5 ski resorts (Grands Montets, Les Houches, Le Tour/Balme, La Flegere and Le Brevent.

Mont Blanc viewed from the Aiguille du Midi

Chamonix’s ski area is split into several distinct sectors, two of which are directly accessed from the town itself, the rest being a short drive further up or down the valley.  These two areas offer a good variety of open slopes with fabulous views of Mont Blanc:   [below from snow-wise]

    • Close to the resort center, a spectacular two-stage cable car takes you to the top of the 3840m Aiguille du Midi, where you can get up close and personal with the peaks and glaciers of Mont Blanc.  This is also the start of the 22km Vallée Blanche route – perhaps the most famous off-piste ski run in the world.
    • The other major ski area accessible from town is Le Brévent, a steep walk or short drive from the town center.  Le Brévent is linked to the La Flégère sector, which is also accessible by cable car a couple of kilometres up the valley.
    • The most famous ski mountain in the Chamonix area is Les Grand Montets, 9km up the valley above the traditional village of Argentière.  Not only does this area offer the toughest skiing that Chamonix has to offer (both on and off-piste), but it also frequently has the best snow:  With its north-facing slopes reaching almost 3300m, Les Grand Montets has a particularly good snow record and is open until early May.
    • Beyond Argentière, at the north-eastern end of the valley, is the small village of Le Tour, claiming to be the snowiest village in France.  Le Tour offers a gentler mix of open bowls and woodland glades which are also linked to another village, Vallorcine.

At 1035m, Chamonix is a sizeable town, steeped in mountain tradition and spectacularly set beneath the highest peaks in the Alps.  Its vibrant traffic-free centre is captivating, and the resort offers an unparalleled range of non-skiing activities.

    Hotel Lykke

Our trip includes seven nights in the 4-star Lykke Hotel & Spa (formerly the Hotel Mercure Chamonix Center) (sleep at 3,396 ft) with daily breakfasts and dinners, round-trip Non-Stop air (details below), and ground transfers.  We'll have a modest "Apertif Le Drus" reception on our arrival day.

      2024 Ski Magazine ranked #5!

Spicy technical terrain is the draw here, but there’s much to recommend Taos, from its unique New Mexican character to the locals that make this place hum.

The Snakedance has an indoor hot tub and dry sauna, the Hondo Restaurant, and the Bumps Market convenience store with spirits, groceries, and sundries.

Our spacious and comfortable two-bedroom units are individually decorated around the focal points of a cozy gas fireplace and French doors that open up onto a Juliet Balcony.  Each unit has two full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops.  Each bedroom has either a King or Split King bed, and a queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room.  WiFi is available in each unit, as are two satellite TVs with DVD players for après ski relaxation.

Single Rooms:  Listed price is for double occupancy.  Add $820 for the single supplement if you want a room (not an entire condo unit) to yourself.

The Snakedance also has a limited number of one-bedroom condos that may be available at extra cost ($125 per person - while they last).  You may request when signing up, but they are only available for double occupancy.  You must identify your roommate, who must make the same selection.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

      • A Full Ikon Pass gives you 7 days at Taos.
      • An Ikon Base Pass has no benefits at Taos.
      • An Ikon Base Plus Pass gives you 5 days at Taos.

Group Lift Tickets:  Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass:
