With our switch to air on Southwest (previously on United), not only have we reduced the trip cost by $160, but there's a potential $140 savings in luggage fees:  Would have cost $70 each way for two bags on United, but now free on Southwest.

The Lodge at Vail is one of the most historic resorts in Vail Valley, with an alpine-lodge-style exterior and rustic flair inside.  Its alpine boutique evokes the charm, warmth and old-school allure of Europe’s finest chalets.  Built in 1962, it remains the cornerstone of Vail Village, located just steps from Gondola One  [click for map; note that Gondola One has replaced the Vista Bahn, which shows on the map].  Revel in the proximity to the slopes, exceptional dining, shopping and cultural experience of Vail Village, all from the ultimate comfort and unique memories offered by the Lodge at Vail.

The upgraded spa and huge, modern 24-hour fitness center are among the property's most impressive amenities.  Relax in two outdoor pools and six Jacuzzis.  Men and women can relax in separate locker rooms with steam rooms, saunas, and whirlpools, as well as a separate women's relaxation lounge and a large co-ed relaxation lounge. The complete spa experience includes massages and wraps, rejuvenating facials, and other special amenities and services in the 7,500-square-foot spa facility, as well as use of a 3,500 square-foot fitness complex.

Our rooms offer an extensive list of amenities including coffee makers and mini-fridges.  You may request a single room when you register for the trip, but we have extremely limited availability ... and extremely high cost ($1330).  The trip leader will confirm availability and add the cost to your trip invoice if we can confirm you in a single room.

Breakfasts are available as a $30/day pre-purchase option, inclusive of tax & tip. 

Non-skiers, or those holding a “full” Epic Pass (or Epic Military Pass), save $515 on the package without lift tickets. 

Please be sure to enter your Epic Pass number into your profile before registering for the trip.  We must provide your pass number to the resort so that it counts towards our group lift ticket minimum purchase requirements.

Air Schedule:  Flights now on Southwest Airlines - two bags checked free!

Membership Requirement:  Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip has been "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning August 1.

Payment Schedule: 

We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your deposit:  Mail (or give) a check to the trip leader, payable to the Pentagon Ski Club, or pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.
