Our trip includes 7 nights (Sat-Sat) in the 3-star Hotel Olympia in Arabba, with daily breakfast buffet and daily 4-course dinners.  RT on Lufthansa from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Venice (details below).  Emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation insurance (not cancellation insurance) is included (details below).

Located on the sunny side of Arabba, Hotel Olympia — where the club stayed in 2014 — provides an ideal base for our holiday. 

Listed cost is for double occupancy.  A limited number of rooms may be available for single occupancy; request when registering and the trip leader will confirm availability and cost (est @ $305), and make an adjustment to your invoice if you can be confirmed.

The lifts are a short walk from our hotel, but we can store our skis and boots in the hotel's heated Ski Room, conveniently located right at the lift.

Lift Tickets:  Not included in listed package price, but are available as a sign-up option.  We're offering Dolomiti SuperSki Passes, which are good throughout the area, including our day at Cortina.  We are offering 5 or 6 consecutive day tickets.  If you choose the 5 day ticket, you must specify your start date, either skipping the first of last day of skiing. 

UPDATE:  The Ikon Pass has added benefits to ski in the Dolomiti SuperSki area.  The Ikon Pass provides 7 days of skiing and Ikon Base Pass provides 5 days.

Trip Insurance:  Emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation insurance (not cancellation insurance) is included.  Note that this is not cancellation coverage and will not provide any relief if you have to cancel from the trip before it begins, whether for medical or other reasons.  You may upgrade your coverage to include cancellation coverage by clicking on the link.  It will take you to a flyer describing the options available, including a link to the detailed coverage plan.  Note that the "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) option must be purchased within 14 days of paying your initial deposit on the trip.

Travel Overview:  Saturday morning (Feb 19), after arriving at the Venice airport on our overnight flight from Dulles (and a connection in Frankfurt -- details below), we'll meet meet up with the Venice group (arriving at the airport on water taxis) for our bus ride to Arabba.

UPDATE:  We have added a hotel night on Saturday, February 26, at the 4-star Hotel Antony in Mestre, near the Venice airport.  For anyone interested, there will be an opportunity to spend Saturday afternoon/evening in Venice as the hotel is just a short bus/taxi ride to Venice.

Everyone returns home on Sunday, February 27, after our week in Arabba.  We'll be bused from the hotel back to the Venice airport and fly back to Dulles through Frankfurt.

Membership Requirement:   Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip will be "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning August 1.

Payment Schedule:  

We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your payment:  Pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.

If you prefer to pay by check, make it payable to the Pentagon Ski Club and mail it to Steve at the address below.  Indicate which trip, and what skier(s), it is for.   Or give it to him at a club meeting.
