Epic Lift Upgrade!!  Vail Resorts is adding two substantial lift upgrades at Vail:

• Sun Down Lift:  A new high-speed quad chair is being installed in the Sun Down Bowl from the base of Chair 5 (High Noon Express) to the Wildwood restaurant.  This will materially reduce wait times on peak days at Chair 5 and create the opportunity for skiers and riders to much more conveniently access the trails in Sun Down Bowl.
  
• Game Creek Bowl:  The current 4-person chair is being replaced with a new high-speed 6-person lift.  This will increase capacity by nearly 50% and improve reliability in this popular bowl.

7 nights (Sat-Sat) in the Vail Spa Condos with welcome reception, RT air from Washington to Denver (details below), and ground transfers.

Ski some of Colorado's most celebrated slopes and enjoy world-class dining and entertainment in nearby Lionshead Village.  Vail Spa is just a short walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and directly on the free in-town bus route for convenient access to Vail Village and the lifts at Golden Peak. 

Vail Spa amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas.  High-speed WiFi and complimentary housekeeping are included with every stay.  Each of our 2-bedroom/2-bath and 3-bedroom/3-bath units includes a full kitchen, gas fireplace and private laundry.

Add $1595 for the Single Supplement if you want a room (but not an entire condo unit) to yourself.

Lift Tickets:  Lift tickets are not included in the trip package, as Vail Resorts is no longer offering competitively priced group lift tickets.  Epic Passes, which must be individually purchased (not through the club), provide the best value.

Epic Passes:  Participants are encouraged to purchase an Epic Pass product of some type early-on.  The following options would cover your skiing for the trip; prices shown are as of late November 2022:

• A "full" Epic Pass ($949)
  
• Military Epic Pass – Active/Retired ($190); Veteran ($520)
  
• Epic Day Pass (the non-holiday-rate for an "all resort" pass) – ($464 for 5 days; $541 for 6 days)
• Epic Local Pass ($735)

December 4th is the last day you can buy a season pass.  (The Day Passes may still be available.)

You may purchase Epic Passes directly from Vail Resorts, but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the various options available, including promotional offers from our tour operators.  They offer all except the military passes, which must be purchased directly from Vail Resorts.

Membership Requirement:  Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip will be "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning August 1.

Payment Schedule:

We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your payment:  Pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.

If you prefer to pay by check, make it payable to the Pentagon Ski Club and mail it to Christina.   Indicate which trip, and what skier(s), it is for.  Or give it to Christina at a club meeting.
