Join the Blue Ridge Ski Council Western Carnival and enjoy legendary skiing at Crested Butte!  Here you will find mellow terrain, back bowls, extreme terrain and some of the steepest in-bounds ski terrain in Colorado. 

This trip includes 7 nights (Sat-Sat) at the luxury ski-in/ski-out Elevation Hotel & Spa with RT air to Montrose (details below), and ground transfers.  A welcome reception, happy hours and a group dinner with other BRSC members is included.

Accommodations: The 11,000 square foot Elevation Spa & High Altitude Fitness Center has a lot to enjoy.  There are therapy rooms to provide relaxing massages for your muscles after skiing as well as soothing body treatments for your skin, and refreshing facials for a beautiful complexion. Separate women and men locker facilities are equipped with steam room, showers, shampoo, and hair dryers.  Each spa service offers access to one of our three tranquil relaxation rooms, equipped with soft music, cozy chairs, and a selection of beverages.  Use of the extensive fitness center, pool, and indoor hot tub is included with all services to extend and enhance your spa experience.

Our Deluxe Double Queen rooms have two Queen beds and an extensive list of amenities including large LCD flat panel televisions, granite kitchenettes with microwaves, mini refrigerators, toasters, and coffeemakers.  Add $815 for the single supplement if you want a room to yourself.

Lift Tickets:  Lift tickets are not included in the trip package, as Vail Resorts is no longer offering competitively priced group lift tickets.  Epic Passes, which must be individually purchased (not through the club), provide the best value.

Epic Passes:  Participants are encouraged to purchase an Epic Pass product of some type early-on.  The following options would cover your skiing for the trip; prices shown are as of late November 2022:

• A "full" Epic Pass ($949)
  
• Military Epic Passes – Active/Retired ($190); Veteran ($520)
  
• Epic Day Pass (the non-holiday-rate for a "32 resort" pass) – ($356 for 5 days; $415 for 6 days)
• Epic Local Pass ($735)

December 4th is the last day you can buy a season pass.  (The Day Passes may still be available.)

You may purchase Epic Passes directly from Vail Resorts, but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the various options available, including promotional offers from our tour operators.  They offer all except the military passes, which must be purchased directly from Vail Resorts.  Our tour operator for this trip, Winter Ski and Sport, will afford you a rebate on your trip if you buy your Epic Pass through them.

Air Schedule:  New Flights on American Airlines (Times have changed!):

Membership Requirement:  Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip will be "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning August 1.

Payment Schedule: 

We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your payment:  Pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.

If you prefer to pay by check, make it payable to the Pentagon Ski Club and mail it to our treasurer:  Christina Anderson, 5502 Maplefield Place, Alexandria, VA  22310.   Indicate which trip, and what skier(s), it is for.  Or give it to the trip leader (or to Christina) at a club meeting.
