Limelight Hotel

Our trip includes seven nights (Sat-Sat) in the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum (sleep at 5,800 ft) with daily breakfast buffet, round-trip air from Washington to Sun Valley (details below), and ground transfers.  

QQ Room

Our spacious, light-filled and airy rooms have two Queen beds.  They combine contemporary granite and marble finishes with ultra-plush bedding and cozy robes.  Each room has a culinary nook with a wet bar, refrigerator, and Lavazza Espresso and Lungo coffee makers.  Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming-enabled 55-inch TVs, humidifiers, and in-room safes large enough for a laptop.

The Lounge Restaurant

The Limelight's Lounge Restaurant offers the perfect way to kick back and refuel after a day of skiing.  Sip an après cocktail, share creative comfort food, and take in a little live music.

The included daily European-style full breakfast buffet, served from 7-10am, features locally made pastries, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit, bagels and pancakes, and fresh coffee, plus rotating staples such as biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, steel-cut oats, French toast, sausage, and veggie frittatas.

Pool & Hot Tubs

The Limelight's outdoor pool and hot tubs, open 9am-10pm, offer the perfect setting to ease tired muscles and recoup after a day of skiing. 

Fitness Room

The Limelight's fitness room, open 24/7, is equipped with many of the latest designs in exercise equipment.  Spin on a stationary bike, tread on a treadmill, or stay on top of your toning regimen with a free-weight session.

Single Rooms:  Listed price is for double occupancy.  Add $1,715 for the single supplement if you want a room to yourself.

Skiing:  The Limelight provides dedicated shuttle service for the 4-5 minute trip to the River Run Gondola at Bald Mountain:

First Tracks!  The Limelight offers an exclusive First Tracks Program with the opportunity to ski or ride on freshly groomed corduroy or powder before Bald Mountain opens to the public.  Taking place every Friday, the program has guests depart from the hotel at 8:00am to load the River Run Gondola at 8:30am.  This complimentary experience is available to the first five guests who register at the front desk.  Reservations are first-come first-served only.  The program is limited to intermediate/advanced skiers or riders.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

• A Full Ikon Pass gives you 7 days at Sun Valley.
• An Ikon Base Pass has no benefits at Sun Valley.

Ikon Passes must be individually purchased (not through the club).  You may purchase Ikon Passes directly from Ikon (including discounted pricing available to military members and their dependents), but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the promotional offers that may be available from our tour operators.

If you'll be using an Ikon Pass, we must provide your pass number to the resort so that it counts towards our group lift ticket minimum purchase requirements.  Please enter your Ikon Pass number into your membership profile before registering for the trip, or provide it to the trip leader if you purchase (or renew) your pass subsequent to signing up.

Group Lift Tickets:  Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass:

Skiers with a fully used 5-Day lift ticket may upgrade on-site to a 6-Day lift ticket at the ticket desk in the River Run Day Lodge ($159 expected cost).

Membership Requirement:  Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip has been "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning July 1.

Payment Schedule:

We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your payment:  Pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.

If you prefer to pay by check, make it payable to the Pentagon Ski Club and mail it to Tom (our club treasurer) at 8203 Lazy Point Lane, Lorton, VA 22079.  Indicate which trip, and what participant(s), it is for.  Or give it to Tom at a club meeting.
