Our trip includes seven nights in the 4-star, ski-in/ski-out Nira Alpina Hotel with daily breakfast and dinner; nonstop RT air from Dulles to Zurich (details below), and ground transfers.

Located at the base of the Corvatsch Ski Area, Nira Alpina is situated amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery of Silvaplana in the Engadin and is directly connected to the Corvatsch cable car.  One of the most unique resort hotels in the Swiss Alps, Nira Alpina offers breathtaking views of untouched natural scenery and is the perfect place for our winter adventures.

Our Corvatsch Rooms  are comfortable and airy with uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from the private furnished balcony.  Thoughtfully decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, these rooms offer a beautifully designed bathroom with Pure Altitude Spa toiletries.

Single Rooms:  Listed cost is for double occupancy.  A limited number of rooms may be available for single occupancy (est @ $2,165).  Request when registering and the trip leader will make an adjustment to your invoice if you can be confirmed.

Spa:  The hotel's Shanti Spa by Pure Altitude is the essence of tranquillity and is included free with your stay.  Its relaxation room with colored mood lighting, steam room, sauna, vast whirlpool with underwater relaxation bed, and five large treatment rooms will leave us refreshed and rejuvenated.  There is also a fully equipped, modern gym offering everything we need for an effective workout.  Equipped with high-quality cardio machines, free weights and modern strength training equipment, the fitness area is perfect for a workout during our stay.  Whether you want to train endurance, strength or flexibility, we will find the ideal conditions here.

Ikon Pass Benefits:  If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available resort lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices will increase as winter gets closer.

Four nights (Mon-Fri) in the Hotel Emerador with daily buffet breakfast. 

Situated in the heart of Gran Vía, one of the most emblematic avenues of Madrid, Hotel Emperador offers the perfect location to discover Madrid on foot.  A step away from the main tourist spots, we can walk to some of the emblematic attractions of Madrid:  Plaza de España, the Royal Palace, the Puerta del Sol, the Cibeles Fountain, and the Prado and Thyssen Museums.

Features include:

• Sunday Jan 10 – Depart Dulles Airport for overnight flight to Zurich.
• Monday, Jan 11 – Arrive Zurich; connecting flight to Madrid (details below).  Bus transfer from Madrid airport to our hotel.
• Tuesday, Jan 12 – Half-day guided tour of Madrid.
• Wednesday, Jan 13 – Enjoy Madrid on your own.
• Thursday, Jan 14 – Full-day guided tour of the medieval city of Toledo including entrance to the Toledo Cathedral and Church of Santo Tome.

Membership Requirement:   Your club membership must be current when signing up for the trip and throughout the duration of the trip.  The trip will be "sanctioned" through the Blue Ridge Ski Council.  Current members of other BRSC member ski clubs may register for the trip beginning July 1.

Trip Insurance:  Emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation insurance (not cancellation insurance) is included.  Note that this is not cancellation coverage and will not provide any relief if you have to cancel from the trip before it begins, whether for medical or other reasons.  You may upgrade your coverage to include cancellation insurance by clicking on this link. We’ll confirm your registration after you've signed up (registered) for the trip and we've received your payment:  Pay online by going to our Partial Payments Page where you can make initial deposits &/or interim payments for one or more trips, and for one or more members, in a single transaction.  You may also make partial payments with credit cards at club meetings.  Note:  If you wish instead to pay for the entire trip (or to pay your remaining balance), you should make your payment directly against your trip invoice.  You can find your invoice(s) from your profile page by selecting your name in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.
