An IKON Trip with a lift ticket available as an additional option
Consistently recognized as one of the top ski resorts in North America, thanks to its massive terrain and confidence inspiring design, Sun Peaks, the second-largest ski area in Canada, offers a European-style ski-in, ski-out, pedestrian village with locally-owned and operated shops, restaurants and lodging.
Our trip includes 6 nights (Sat-Fri) at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel (sleep at about 3,930 ft) round-trip air from Washington to Seattle (details below), daily breakfast buffet, and ground transfers.
After skiing five days (Sun-Thurs), after breakfast on Friday we'll head south and spend our last night in downtown Seattle before flying back home on Saturday.
The Sun Peaks Grand is the only full-service hotel in the resort. It offers an extensive array of amenities including Sun Peaks' only heated outdoor pool and three slopeside outdoor hot tubs, and a newly outfitted fitness center.
Our Deluxe Rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi and either one King or two Queen beds. Listed price is for double occupancy; add $835 for the single supplement if you want a room to yourself (in both Sun Peaks and Seattle).
Fairmont Olympic Hotel Downtown Seattle
Our Friday-night stay will be at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. Opened in 1924 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel features breathtaking architecture, innovative culinary experiences, and unparalleled service. The iconic grande dame, which ranks among the best hotels in downtown Seattle, has been restored to full splendor following an award-winning, multimillion-dollar renovation that introduced sophisticated new design elements. Boasting an ideal location, this luxury hotel is near Pike Place Market and Seattle landmarks like the Seattle Art Museum and the Great Wheel on the waterfront.
Our spacious rooms are furnished with two double beds or one King bed and feature an intimate sitting area, work desks, and Keurig coffee machines. They also feature an expansive en-suite marble bathroom and a comfortable dressing area. The hotel boasts: Boost your well-being with a tranquil swim in our 42-foot pool before repairing to the lobby bar to indulge in our sumptuous weekend afternoon tea or a signature cocktail made with honey from our rooftop beehives. The George, a contemporary twist on the classic brasserie concept, is a glamorous spot to discover the flavors of the Pacific Northwest.
Ikon Pass Benefits: If you're planning to ski at more than one "Ikon" resort this winter, an Ikon Pass may be a better value than the available group lift tickets (see below); it may depend when you buy your pass as prices are expected to increase as winter gets closer.
- A Full Ikon Pass provides 7 days at Sun Peaks
- An Ikon Base Pass or Base Plus Pass give you 5 days at at Sun Peaks
Ikon Passes must be individually purchased (not through the club). You may purchase Ikon Passes directly from Ikon, but we suggest that you visit our Epic & Ikon Pass page to explore the promotional offers that may be available from our tour operators.
If you'll be using an Ikon Pass, we must provide your pass number to the resort so that it counts towards our group lift ticket minimum purchase requirements. Please enter your Ikon Pass number into your membership profile before registering for the trip, or provide it to the trip leader if you purchase (or renew) your pass subsequent to signing up.
Group Lift Tickets: Group lift tickets are available as an extra-cost option for skiers without an Ikon Pass:

This is not cancellation coverage and will not provide any relief if you have to cancel from the trip before it begins, whether for medical or other reasons. You may upgrade the coverage of this Basic Plan to include cancellation insurance by clicking on this link. It will take you to a flyer describing the Basic Plan and the upgrade options available through Myra Altschuler of Travel Protectors LLC:
- The Option 2 cancellation plan provides all the benefits of the Basic Plan, but also covers you for cancelling for a number of basic reasons such as illness, injury or death to you or to your traveling companion/ roommate. You must purchase it within 14 days of putting down your very first dollar towards the trip in order to waive the pre-existing medical condition exclusion.
- The Option 3 "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) plan provides all the benefits of the Option 2 plan, but also covers you for cancelling for any non-standard reason, or if you just don’t want to go, but you must purchase it within 14 days of putting down your very first dollar towards the trip. If you cancel your trip for a non-standard reason, your refund will be limited to 75% of your insured trip cost.
- If you upgrade your coverage with either option through Myra, prior to making your final payment on the trip, we will credit your trip invoice with the $60 cost of the club-provided Basic Plan.
- If you purchase your own travel insurance, which includes emergency medical, evacuation & repatriation coverage, and inform your trip leader prior to making your final payment on the trip, we will credit your trip invoice with the $60 cost of the club-provided Basic Plan. You must present your policy to the trip leader to receive the credit.
